Why is Fluid more expensive than most other e-bikes?
Fluid is not your ordinary e-bike. the Fluid is built to the same specifications as ebikes costing over $5,000, while offering a level of integration and styling not seen before. It's packed with the latest features, the best components, one of the largest batteries in the market, and the most power assistance when pedalling.
What is the difference between Pedelec and SpeedBike?
Fluid comes in 2 versions - 1- "Pedelec" and 2 - "S-Pedelec" also referred to as "Speedbike". Pedelec means assistance to pedalling up to 25 kmh (EU) or 20 mph (US). S-Pedelec means assistance up to 45 kmh (EU) or 28 mph (US). Check your local regulation to see what your country allows.
Does Fluid come in different sizes?
Yes, we have 2 sizes - M (best for those up to 1m75 - 5'9") and L (best for those above 1m75 - 5'9") - the seat height is adjustable with a 20cms/8 inches range.
Can I remove the battery myself?
Yes, Fluid has 2 batteries locked in the frame, which can easily be removed with a single key. This allows you to park the bike downstairs/outside, while you charge upstairs/inside.
What warranty are you offering on Fluid?
All Fluids have a 2 year warranty, batteries included, against manufacturing defects. The warranty however does not apply to normal wear and tear components such as tires, brake pads, etc. and does not cover regular maintenance.
Dear backers - we have good news! We wanted to send you a brief update regarding EU Flluids. EU approval for the Flluid-1S has been granted. We have the EEC Approval Number 13*168/2013*00842*00 and are awaiting final paperwork, which should arrive shortly. We have printed regulatory labels, and will be generating COC's as quickly as possible. The current EU container has been released. The container is expected to arrive at our logistics facility on Friday. We expect to send out VAT invoices for backers whose Flluids are in that container on Friday or early next week. For backers who have a Flluid-1S that is already in the EU warehouse. We have received all regulatory parts at our warehouse. We will instal these parts, and the regulatory labels on your Flluids as quickly as possible. When will backers get their Flluid-1S in the EU? We will ship each bike out as quickly as we can. Based on current staffing and courier availability, we hope to ship out most Flluids by the end of April. Our logistics partners (warehouse, shipping companies,…) have been impacted by the current public health crisis, and we are working hard together to ship out your Flluids quickly. Thank you as always for your support. The Fuell team
Update from the FUELL Team,We wanted to take this opportunity, as always, to thank all of you for your continued support and patience. Many of you and all members of the FUELL team have been impacted by the public health crisis circling the globe. We hope you and your families are safe in these times of crisis. We are all practicing various levels of social distancing, while still working to bring your Flluids to you. As you know, some of our team members are in NYC and in major cities in Europe, they are all safe and working from home. Our logistics partners and most of our suppliers continue to be impacted by the public health crisis which will impact the speed at which we can work, and at times our ability to provide certain parts or services quickly. We will continue to provide updates as we have updated information on various matters.EU approval for the Flluid-1S is still pending. We have been in contact with the regulator. Our understanding is that the regulator is impacted but still processing applications, and that we will either have an approval or further request from the regulator this week. As you all know, FUELL developed the Flluid-1 Pedelec, and the Flluid-1S Speed-Pedelec. Most Flluid-1 backers have received their bikes, with about 15 Flluid-1 backers’ bikes in the current container. We cannot ship any Flluid-1S ebikes to EU backers until we receive EU approval and are able to issue certificates of conformity. The current EU container has arrived in Antwerp, is being processed, and we expect that it will be released by the end of this week. As we said before, our logistics partners have been impacted and are working through some delays. The Flluids in the container will ship as soon as we are able. To do we expect to send out VAT invoices for backers whose Flluids are in that container this week or early next week, and hope to ship those bikes late next week (Flluid-1 are able to ship as soon as VAT invoices are paid, Flluid-1S ebikes out as soon as we can issue certificates of conformity and VAT invoices are paid). For backers who have a Flluid-1S that is already in the EU warehouse. We have received all regulatory parts we expect the EU to approve at our warehouse, and are waiting for updated regulatory labels. We will have these installed on your Flluids as soon as everything arrives, however staffing at our warehouse is limited and there may be a delay getting you your Flluid-1S. We will do our best to minimize any delay. A short note about the US. We delivered about 90 Flluids to US backers in the first week of March. Those Flluids are being used for high speed social distancing. We had some shipping damage, and have either shipped, or have ordered replacement parts for those damages Flluids. Our logistics partner has been impacted by the public health crisis, and there will be delays related to this impact. Replacement parts orders are also encountering supplier delays, so please bear with us while we work through those. If our US backers are having any issues, please contact us at fuell@fuell.us.A note about the current production run. About 50 backers bikes are being built in the current production run. Supply chain disruptions continue in Asia, and we expect those bikes to be complete in late April for shipment to the US and EU with arrival dates estimated for late May or early June. A note about communication. If you have a question about your Flluid that has been delivered, please contact us at fuell@fuell.us where we can track that request. If you have a question about a Flluid that has not been delivered, please check the updates related to your location and model. If there is anything unclear, please contact us at fuell@fuell.us. We will do our best to respond to all inquiries as quickly as we are able. Thank you again for your support, and please stay safe. The FUELL Team
Dear Backers. We wanted to thank you all again for your continued support, and send a follow up to our most recent update. As we mentioned, our manufacturing and delivery schedules have been impacted by the Corona virus. This impact has primarily slowed down component orders, and the lack of components will impact certain delivery schedules. Supply chains from all manufacturers have been put in stress because some factories did not reopen in China or were missing a large percentage of workers, and they are taking time to ramp back up. The US container arrived at our logistics partner six days ago, after a delay clearing customs and shipping. A number of Flluid owners in the midwest have received their bikes already, and the others have tracking information, and/or have been contacted by our assembly/fulfilment partner Beeline that their bikes will be assembled and ready for pick up next week. If those backers have any issues, please email us at fuell@fuell.us. Delayed EU Flluid-1S. As we mentioned in our last update, there are still about 70 Flluid-1S in our warehouse in Belgium awaiting certification approval documents and compliance parts. Regarding the certification documents: we have been in contact with the regulators and are cautiously optimistic that we will receive approval shortly. Once that is done, we can print and execute COC's quickly. Regarding the parts. We have received some of these parts, the balance have been expedited and are due to ship out via air on March 27th. Francois-Xavier has been in Europe this week making sure that we have the manpower to install the parts and have those bikes shipped out as quickly as possible. We do not expect these bikes to ship out before April 2nd, but are doing everything we can to move that date up. The EU container that is on the water. Our shipping agent has advised us that they expect a delay in shipment, and now estimate that it will get to us about 10 days later, assuming some time in customs, our best estimate is that we receive those bikes on the 4th of April. We will be in contact with these backers shortly. The component delay will not impact these Flluid-1S but any further delay in certification will. Final Indiegogo production run. We expect that the production run with the last 50 Indiegogo Flluids will be complete in late April. We will post a further update as components arrive and we schedule final assembly. We expect those final backers from September and October, will receive their Flluids in May. Thank you all for your support The FUELL Team
